A moment during the
act of presentation of “La Piedad”.
Valverde was given the honor to sign the Gold Book of the
Cathedral a privilege reserved to the royalty, heads of State
and personalities.

Piedad" will be the first twentieth century painting in the
collection of art of the museum of the cathedral of Salamanca,
joining paintings from as far
back as the twelfth century. This oil on canvas has been
described as being of high quality and elaborate style.
¨La Piedad¨es la
primera pintura del siglo XX que pasa a formar parte del fondo de
arte de la Catedral de Salamanca, donde se unirá a obras de los
siglos XII a XIX. Este óleo ha sido calificado de gran calidad y
depurado estilo.
